Both brothers were born and raised in Kailua, Hawaii. They started paddling canoes around the age of 10 for Lanikai Canoe Club. At Lanikai they developed a real love for paddling and the ocean environment.

While in high school Patrick and Ryan were introduced to kayaking through school. Little did they know that kayaking would change their lives and put them on a quest to become Olympians.

Currently the brother’s train in Kailua, Hawaii as well as training camp visits to the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California. Most of there time is dedicated to training 2-3 times a day as well in kayaks and the weight room.

Already regarded as some of Hawaii’s best paddlers, the brothers main goals are to not only make it the Olympic Games but to also introduce as well as influence paddling and a healthy lifestyle to more people..
