Arguably the fastest one-man canoe surfer in the world, Karel has not only won the Molokai solo as the youngest champion at 18, but has also won it seven times - twice as many as anyone else.

Karel dedicates most of his training out near the Mokuluas, and if it's not paddling, he's either surfing secret spots on the east side, or building one-man canoes with his dad.

A humble Kailua guy who has already been labeled a legend amongst the younger generation of Hawaii canoe paddlers, Karel's natural talent and stringent training programs will keep him at the top for as long as he wants.
